What type of courses does KAP Film and Television Academy e-Learning programme offer?

The KAP Film and Television Academy e-Learning programme offers certification programmes where students will receive an immersive course into the film and television production industry, learning scriptwriting, producing, production design, directing, cinematography, editing, sound post-production, and the business of film.

What is the duration of the e-learning programme?

Each Level lasts for 8 weeks.

Where will the programmes take place?

The KAP Film and Television Academy e-Learning programme holds course lectures via the KAP Learning App, available on Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. Students in Level 2 will be placed in media houses close to their area of residence for their internship course.

I don’t live in Lagos or even in Nigeria. Can I still apply?

Yes, you can easily apply for the Level 1 Certification programme. If you are interested in applying for Level 2, you should be able to cover your own transportation, feeding and accommodation.

Does the Academy provide financial assistance?"

Through our partner, Mastercard Foundation’s programme, we are able to provide a selection of students with full financial assistance, including a free tablet and mobile data for the duration of the programme. To qualify, complete the application in full, and your application will be reviewed for consideration.

Applications

What are the application requirements and how do I apply for the KAP Film and Television Academy e-Learning programme?

By clicking this https://apply.kap.academy/login link, interested candidates between the ages 18- 35 can apply for admission into the KAP Film and Television Academy e-Learning Programme. Candidates must possess a minimum of four (4) O’ Level credits in either West African School Certificate Examination, (WASCE) General Certificate of Education (GCE) or National Certificate of Education (NECO). The credits may be in any subject. Candidates will also be required to upload a 60 second video of themselves detailing their interest in the film and television industry.

How long does the application process take?

Applications must be submitted 4 weeks before the Academic Session begins. Students will receive admission details at least 2 weeks before each session commences.

I have no film experience. Can I still apply?

Yes, the Academy's certification programmes are great for entry-level into the film and television industry or for those who want to gain additional skills in the industry.

Certificates

What type of certification do I receive at the end of the e-learning programme?

The KAP Film and Television Academy e-Learning programme offers 2 levels of certification, Level 1, a solely online programme and Level 2, a programme that combines online courses and hands-on experience.

Payment and Pricing

What are the costs of the e-learning programmes?

Level 1 costs NGN 25,000. Level 2 costs NGN 125,000.

Can tuition payments be made install mentally?

Tuition payments cannot be paid in instalments. However, you can easily make payment using your debit card or bank account details on the KAP App.
